TO: iMedia Audiences WordPress team SUBJECT: Coordinated SEO and sitemap setup — imediaaudiences.com + Vibe + BNI Please implement the WordPress items below without changing the site's design or disrupting existing lead capture, analytics, or navigation. The other two sites are separate Vibe projects; this brief does not grant access to them. CURRENT RETRIEVALS AND HISTORICAL NOTES TO VERIFY - Main-site content was retrieved at https://imediaaudiences.com/ (non-www, HTTPS); verify raw canonical tags and redirect/header behavior before sign-off. - https://imediaaudiences.com/robots.txt references https://imediaaudiences.com/wp-sitemap.xml and contains a Yoast crawl block with an empty Disallow directive. - /wp-sitemap.xml content was retrieved and lists child sitemaps for posts, pages, categories, tags, and users. Raw HTTP status and MIME type were not re-certified in this review. - A previous handoff reported page-not-found HTML at /sitemap_index.xml. That path was not retested in this review. Do not submit it merely because Yoast is installed. - A previous handoff identified an Organization entity at https://imediaaudiences.com/#organization. Verify the current graph and consolidate with the existing authoritative entity instead of adding competing plugin graphs. The BNI project uses that stable agency ID. - Homepage currently uses the broad title HOME - iMedia Audiences. The reviewed public copy emphasizes media ad sales, ad operations, brands, media companies, and managed services. - https://vibe.imediaaudiences.com/sitemap.xml content retrieved during this review lists 13 URLs. The public BNI sitemap content still listed only two URLs. The BNI project now prepares an automatic /sitemap.xml server endpoint whose expected current coverage is 28 URLs, which takes effect only after publishing and confirming that the deployment does not shadow it with an older file. See /seo/verification-report.txt on the BNI project for the source-versus-production status. 1. SITEMAP OWNERSHIP — KEEP IT AUTOMATIC Use ONE maintained primary WordPress sitemap index. Keep /wp-sitemap.xml if it remains the active generator. If deliberately switching to Yoast's XML sitemap feature, enable it, verify that /sitemap_index.xml returns real XML with 200 status, and update robots.txt and Search Console together. Avoid competing indexes and do not replace the WordPress index with a static homepage-only XML file. Keep only public, canonical, indexable, HTTP-200 content in the sitemap. Include /, /brands/, /media/, /solutions/, /about/, /about/people/, /contact/, and /local/ only if each remains a real public canonical page; these URLs were found in the site's navigation or connected business profile, not all independently audited. Keep other genuine pages/posts automatically. Review thin tag/category/author archives and media attachments; noindex or consolidate only where appropriate, and exclude noindexed pages from XML. Do not indiscriminately delete useful archives. Do not mix BNI or Vibe page URLs into the WordPress urlset. Maintain a separate sitemap per host and submit all three under verified ownership. A public network directory linking them is fine; a mixed-host XML file is not the default solution. Cross-site sitemap submission has ownership and search-engine-specific requirements and is unnecessary here. 2. CANONICALS AND REDIRECTS Confirm non-www HTTPS is still the chosen canonical host. Use one self-referencing canonical per page, matching redirects, sitemap entries, internal links, and social og:url. Use trailing slashes for WordPress pages if that is the current permalink convention. Exclude campaign parameters from canonicals while retaining attribution. Configure permanent HTTP/www/duplicate URL redirects at the server/CDN without chains or loops. Do not canonicalize the BNI or Vibe sites to this homepage simply to combine authority: they serve different purposes. 3. TITLES AND CONTENT — PROPOSED, SUBJECT TO PAGE REVIEW Homepage title: Digital Advertising & Media Solutions | iMedia Audiences Homepage meta description: iMedia Audiences helps brands and media companies grow with digital advertising, media buying, ad operations, and managed marketing services. Meet our team. Suggested titles for existing pages after verifying their actual content: /brands/ — Digital Advertising for Brands | iMedia Audiences /media/ — Media Sales & Ad Operations | iMedia Audiences /solutions/ — Digital Marketing & Advertising Solutions | iMedia Audiences /about/ — About Our Digital Marketing Team | iMedia Audiences /about/people/ — Meet the Team | iMedia Audiences /contact/ — Contact iMedia Audiences | Let's Talk Marketing /local/ — Local Digital Marketing Services | iMedia Audiences Give each an accurate original description, clear primary heading, useful service detail, and contextual internal links. Do not use invented testimonials, unverified outcomes, or location pages with only city-name substitutions. 4. USEFUL CROSS-SITE LINKS — EDITORIAL, NOT A LINK SCHEME Add a short visible website-services paragraph to /solutions/ and /brands/ where it genuinely fits. Suggested copy: "Need a website to support your marketing? Explore iMedia-Vibe's AI website builder and fully managed website plans." Link the descriptive phrase to https://vibe.imediaaudiences.com/. On a relevant Josh team profile, /local/, or networking-related content where it fits: "Meet Josh Iverson through his BNI chapter introductions." Link to https://bni.imediaaudiences.com/; use /chapter only when discussing sharing referral links. Add restrained navigation/footer entries if useful: AI website builder → Vibe; Meet Josh / BNI introductions → BNI. Do not put all 26 member links on every WordPress page, hide links, or use repetitive keyword-rich anchors. Normal editorial links need no sponsored/nofollow label unless that relationship actually applies. 5. STRUCTURED DATA AND BUSINESS IDENTITY Use Yoast's existing graph as the primary WordPress schema source. Keep https://imediaaudiences.com/#organization as the shared agency ID across all three sites. Review the correct business name, logo, contact details, and official social accounts with Josh: the connected profile and current WordPress social URLs differ, so do not overwrite them blindly. Keep distinct WebSite IDs for each domain. On the separate BNI site, Josh is a Person who worksFor the agency; the chapter members are introducers, not iMedia employees or fictional reviewers. Keep WebPage/Breadcrumb schema appropriate to each page and visible content. Only add a Service entity where that service is actually explained. Do not add fake AggregateRating, unsupported LocalBusiness addresses, offers that omit annual billing, or FAQ markup that promises commercial rich results. 6. SOCIAL AND CRAWLING Set meaningful Open Graph/Twitter titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, and owned share images through the existing SEO plugin. Use real image dimensions and useful alt text. Keep public marketing pages indexable; private, search, 404, and staging pages should not be indexed. Confirm status codes for missing URLs. Do not block CSS/JS required for rendering or block a noindexed page before a crawler can see its noindex instruction. Preserve the owner's existing AI data-use choices; training permission is not an SEO requirement. 7. SEARCH CONSOLE / BING — OWNER ACTION REQUIRED Prefer a Google Search Console Domain property for imediaaudiences.com, verified with a DNS TXT record by the domain owner. It covers all three subdomains. Alternatively verify three matching HTTPS URL-prefix properties. Submit each real sitemap separately: https://imediaaudiences.com/wp-sitemap.xml (or the verified replacement if intentionally changed) https://vibe.imediaaudiences.com/sitemap.xml https://bni.imediaaudiences.com/sitemap.xml (after publishing the updated BNI project) For URL-prefix properties, submit each sitemap in its matching property. Verify/import the sites into Bing Webmaster Tools and submit there too. Do not use Google's retired sitemap ping endpoint. Sitemap submission is not a guarantee of indexing. Do not submit the sample XML download under /seo/ as the Vibe site's official sitemap. 8. POST-PUBLISH ACCEPTANCE - 200 XML at all submitted sitemap URLs, not an HTML app shell or error document. - Only live, canonical, indexable pages listed; truthful lastmod values only. - BNI sitemap covers the homepage, directory, and 26 current member slugs. - Vibe retains its actual public service and comparison routes, currently 13 URLs. - No production noindex header or WordPress "discourage search engines" setting. - Google URL Inspection for each homepage and representative service/member pages; inspect Google's selected canonical after crawling. - Rich Results Test and Schema Markup Validator for factual schema; valid markup does not guarantee a rich result. - Check Core Web Vitals/PageSpeed, mobile usability, image sizing, and caching; preserve existing analytics and confirm conversion events separately. - Protect staging and deployment preview hosts from indexing. - Monitor indexing, relevant queries, referral traffic, and inquiries over time; use evidence to prioritize content improvements. STATUS / BOUNDARIES This document is a handoff, not proof of deployment. The WordPress site and separate Vibe project have not been changed from the BNI project. DNS, permanent redirects, search-engine verification/submission, and live production tests need the respective owners. SEO, schema, related-site links, and llms.txt cannot guarantee search rankings, indexed pages, or AI citations.
